Interim Risk Specialist in Information Security

Do you want to work with information security in an organization that is central to the development of society in Gothenburg? As an interim Risk Specialist at Göteborg Energi, you will play a key role in our risk management efforts and have the opportunity to contribute to a safe and sustainable energy system for approximately one year.

Your Task

As a Risk Specialist in information security, you are the group's expert in the risk area related to information security. You will work broadly and strategically with risk management, conduct risk analyses, and monitor developments over time. Currently, there is a strong focus on risk analyses of OT systems, but IT environments are also included in the assignment. Therefore, you need to feel confident in analyzing risks in both types of systems.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Maintain and further develop strategies, programs, and plans based on relevant standards and best practices
• Follow up and evaluate compliance with frameworks, regulations, processes, and routines by conducting risk analyses
• Be advisory for the entire group on issues related to risks in information security

You will work closely with colleagues in the Information Security & Information Governance department and participate in the department's joint assignments.

Your Team

The position is an interim role for approximately one year and is located in the Information Security & Information Governance department within Development and Digitalization. The department is responsible for steering and supporting information and IT security work throughout the Göteborg Energi group. The team consists of about ten specialists in areas such as information security, IT security, and incident management. You will report to our CISO.

Göteborg Energi is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure. If the position is security classified, a security clearance will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act before employment.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging in dialogue with others and who, with your communicative skills, can explain, analyze, and concretize complex issues.

We believe you have:

• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of experience in information security or IT security, with a background in risk management and conducting risk analyses.
• Good knowledge of IT systems and preferably also OT environments.

It is advantageous if you have experience with standards and regulations such as ISO 31000, ISO 27005, ISO 27k family, COBIT, or NIST. Knowledge of NIS2, the Cybersecurity Act, and information security classification is also a plus.

Göteborg Energi is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and many of our services are security classified. If this position is security classified, a security clearance will be conducted before employment, in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
